confidence building: academic

Although I’m no longer a school teacher of Classics and Art History, those subjects remain close to my heart - as does helping young people be confident in them. So I offer a limited amount of tuition (in Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation, History of Art) alongside coaching & mentoring.

Sessions are over zoom or in person if you are within relatively easy distance from Islington. 

I have 12+ years of teaching experience, including 10 years in three top London schools. My tuition philosophy is: professional school teaching on a miniature, personalised scale. Therefore you can expect lessons to be:

  • open to spontaneity

  • tailored to suit your learning style & specific needs

  • engaging!

My teaching style is a blend of intellectual and emotional intelligence; academic rigour and kindness.

Whilst I have a strong background in getting results and will of course help you / your child to reach exam objectives, my priority is developing confidence & love of the subject.

For Classical Civilisation:

  • confidence with exam technique

I also offer UCAS advice & support in writing a personal statement (non-subject specific)
